Human cancers are increasingly being treated with molecularly targeted agents, a novel way to approach cancer treatment. As more drugs are FDA approved, they are becoming widely available and is something we will encounter as eye care providers. Many of these drugs require regular ocular toxicity monitoring – and optometrists should know how to diagnose, manage, and treat patients with drug-induced ocular toxicity. This course will introduce those FDA drugs and their potential ocular toxicities with real-patient examples and overview how they should be managed.
