Snow School CE Schedule - 6 CE Credits (4 Oral/2 TPA)

8:00 am - 8:30am: Registration & Breakfast in Exhibit Hall


8:30 am - 10:15 am: Controlling the Uncontrollable – A Look at Secondary Glaucoma: Clinical Cases, Causative Factors and Treatment Strategies -Kimberley Ovittore-Kenney, OD - COPE # 82029-GL - 2 hrs. NJSBO TPA Credits

This course will review primary versus secondary glaucoma, normal versus abnormal iris structure, and discuss those conditions which are responsible for altering the homeostasis of the eye causing Secondary Glaucoma. Through in-depth case studies, this course will help to show the role an Optometrist plays in the management of complicated cases and the co-management of patients who require surgical intervention for severe vision threatening conditions.

10:45 am - 12:25 pm: Optometric Role in the Diagnosis and Management of Headaches - Patricia Modica, OD -COPE# 82034-NO/NJSBO #778-2023 - 2 hours NJSBO Oral Credits

The chief complaint of headaches is frequently encountered in optometric practice. This course provides the basic mechanisms of head pain, with distinguishing features of asthenopic, primary and secondary headache disorders. Case studies are utilized to highlight the role of optometrists in directing the patient to the most appropriate management.

1:25 pm - 3:15 pm: Oral Medications in Neuro-Ophthalmic Disease - Patricia Modica, OD -COPE # 82030-NO/NJSBO # 779-2023 - 2 hours NJSBO Oral Credits

This course reviews the pathophysiology of common neuro-ophthalmic disorders as a foundation for applying the principles of pharmacologic management. The medical indications, contraindications and side effects are included in this case-based discussion.

The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians invites exhibitor participation at our Snow School 2023 on Saturday January 28th at Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in Pocono Manor, PA.

Exhibit space includes the following: continental breakfast, AM Break, and buffet luncheon for two (2) company representatives (additional luncheon tickets may be purchased); and one (1) 6'X24" skirted table.  Please check the box on the Exhibit Application if you need electricity at your table.

Should you arrive on property with only cash, they do have kiosks to exchange your dollars onto a Mastercard that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted.  They are requiring all hotel group guests to authorize a $100 hold to accommodate overnight folio charges. This is mandatory for all hotel overnight guests moving forward. Please be aware you will be required to have this authorization placed on your account when you check in.
