Clinical Care Center
Works to develop clinical standards and skills for New Jersey’s optometric physicians. Oversees the following subcommittees: Continuing Education Committee, Vision Rehabilitation Section, Vision Therapy Task Force, Board Certification Maintenance, New Technologies and Procedures, and the Mentor Program.
Industry Relations Committee
Works with industry partners to better educate optometric physicians regarding their products and services and oversees the NJSOP partnership program.
Legislative Committee
Protect and expand your opportunity to practice optometry at the highest level through political involvement in the legislative process.
Member Recruitment & Benefits Center
Evaluate and recommend endorsed programs and services of the highest quality for the members, as well as, public information programs for New Jersey’s citizens. Develop and implement an effective membership recruitment program.
Third Party Center
Assures that optometric physicians have the opportunity on a non-discriminatory basis to become a participating provider in managed care organizations, third party plans, and other health care delivery systems. Members can submit an for review. Members can submit an incident form for review. The NJSOP Third Party Center guidance is not intended to replace legal or other expert advice for your specific issue. When sharing information with NJSOP, use appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy of protected health information.
Young OD Task Force
Attract and recruit new members that are in their first ten years of practice. Encourage their involvement with the society.
