The NJSOP cordially invites you to participate in the “Therapy By The Sea 2008” Convention. This is an event you won’t want to miss! Last year’s event drew more than 300 optometric physicians and we want YOU to be part of this year’s conference!

This is your opportunity to get world-class continuing education, including up to 9 Oral TPA credits (COPE approval pending), which ALL New Jersey O.D.’s need (not just those with OM #’s). This year’s convention is back again at the popular Sheraton Convention Center Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from October 11-12, 2008. We are proud to offer topnotch education coursework taught by the very best speakers, in addition to offering coursework for our growing number of paraoptometrics. You’ll also have plenty of time in between classes to meet with vendors in the exhibit hall where you can share information and learn about the latest product developments in optometry.

This year’s education includes two optometric continuing education tracks and a paraoptometric/assistant track. There are lots of options and some can be “mixed-and-matched”. We have several dinning choices for attendees and their guests. Complete details on education topics, speakers, meal plans and fees can be found in the registration packet.

Accommodations...

SHERATON ATLANTIC CITY - Each guest is responsible for making their own room reservation with the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention Center Hotel. Reservations must be made through the reservation department at (609) 344-3535, or 1-888-627-7212, by September 9, 2008. Each individual must identify themselves as NJSOP guests in order to receive the discounted rate (see below). Please make reservations early as rooms have sold out in the past. All reservations are based upon availability. You may choose not to stay at this hotel, but overnight lodging is the responsibility of each attendee.

SHERATON HOTEL RATES - Room rates are for single/double occupancy: $168/night (if reserved by September 9th). Rates are subject to all applicable state and local taxes. Sheraton requires a one-night’s room deposit, per room, to guarantee accommodations and accepts all major credit cards. The deposit is fully refundable if accommodations are cancelled at least 48 hours prior to arrival. This deposit guarantees your room until 12:00 a.m. midnight on the requested arrival date. Credit cards will be requested from all guests upon arrival for room charges, tax and incidentals. Early departure fee of $75 will apply if change in departure date is not disclosed at check-in. This year NJSOP is offering a new way to participate. Members of our NJSOP Partnership Program receive special benefits including larger exhibit space, product placement and presentation opportunites.
