Welcome to the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians!

Our professional association, The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP), represents approximately 682 members, 200 paraoptometric members, and approximately 140  student members.  Our practicing licensed optometrists members serve patients in every community within the state and in all practice modalities, including private offices as well as retail settings.

We believe vision is our most dominant sense, which is so essential to lifelong learning and productivity.  It is never too early to confirm having adequate visual skills -- ideally, one's first eye exam should occur before starting school.  Our members are also prepared to diagnose and treat ocular disease, eye injury, infection, inflammation, and allergy and can coordinate care with primary care physicians and surgeons.  Optometric physicians participate in vision care plans, major health insurance plans, Medicaid and Medicare.  We are positioned to meet your eye health and vision care needs for a lifetime!
